​Summer Camp 2023

​Summer Camps offer children a chance to connect to the natural world through play, adventure and their senses. We spend each day immersed in the natural world exploring creeks, ponds, meadows, forests and the beach. Camps are personalized to the interests and skill level of each group and may include:

  • Nature Awareness skills
  • Wilderness safety and knowledge of
    hazards
  • Local flora and fauna
  • River rock paints
  • Making herbal bug spray
  • Animal tracking
  • Barefoot fox walking
  • Scout games and practices
  • Primitive Shelter Building
  • Nature Journals​

Registration for Summer Camp 2023 
​Due to increased demand we are using a lottery system this summer for our elementary and middle school summer camps. Once the dates are announced, fill out the link below to request a session. Priority is given to returning campers and siblings.
Summer Camp dates will be announced  January 24 with the registration lottery open through February 2, with a February 3rd drawing. 

Summer Program for Preschool students will request a spot using the link below once the dates are announced. Priority is given to returning campers and siblings. 
For preschoolers new to Pathfinders, Teacher Teresa will need to approve your enrollment. Lottery open through January 31, with February 1st drawing.

2023 Preschool, Tk, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Summer Program
  • Taught by Teresa and Kelsey
  • Week 1 and 2 for ages 3.5-5 years old (must be 3 by Jan. 1, have already attended preschool and not in diapers, 5 year olds should not have been in kindergarten). Weeks 3 and 4 are for 5-7 year olds. Children should have  just finished TK, Young 5's, Kindergarten or 1st grade.
  • Monday-Friday (no program Monday June 19th for Juneteenth
  • Time: 9:00am-1:30pm for week 1 and 2. 9:00-3:00pm for week 3 and 4. 
  • Location: Drop-off and Pick-up will be at local preserves within 15-25 minutes of Downtown Palo Alto. New location each week.
  • Dates:
    • Week 1:  June 5-9
    • Week 2: June 12-16 
    • Week 3: June 20-23 
    • Week 4: June 26-30
  • Tuition: $395 per week for weeks 1 and 2, $425 per week for week 3, $510 for week 4

​2023 Ages 6-13 Summer Camp
  • Taught by Drew and staff
  • Time: 9am-3pm
  • Locations: We will use our vans for transportation to visit up to 5 of the following locations in a week: Foothills Nature Preserve, Huddart Park, Windy Hill Open Space Preserve, Thornewood Open Space Preserve, Castle Rock State Park, San Gregorio State Beach, Half Moon Bay State Beach. Drop-off and pickup each day will be in Palo Alto. 
  • Dates:
    • Week 1:  June 5-8 (no camp Friday June 9) Ages 6-8 years old (can be 5 years old if child was in Young 5's, TK or Kindergarten)
    • Week 2: June 12-16 Ages 6-8 years old (can be 5 years old if child was in Young 5's, TK or Kindergarten)
    • Week 3: June 19-23 Ages 9-11 years old
    • Week 4: June 26-30 Ages 12-14 years old (currently attending middle school)
    • Week 5: July 10-14 Ages 9-11 years old
  • Tuition: $510/week, $415 for week 1
